I already have a Synology NAS running a security NVR system for my existing IP cameras. I was wondering if I could add my Vivint outdoor cams into that setup via RTSP or ONVIF to keep everything in one place.

Unfortunately, no. Vivint cameras are locked into their ecosystem and don’t support RTSP or ONVIF. I tried sniffing the traffic, and the stream is encrypted. You won’t be able to use them with Synology, Blue Iris, or any other third-party NVR. If open access is important to you, consider running a separate camera system outside of Vivint.
